December, 2006 (18th -24th)

My first attempt at Blogging. Hmm where should I start? Ok. The New Web sight is up and running still lots of work to go. I have gotten all my Christmas Shopping done so I can put up my Shoulder Pads away ( Christmas shopping can be tough!)

The GoShinKan Kids are settling down for the winter and resting for the next tournament session and the little ones await for St Nick. The Adult Class a little bruised and sore from Kumite (Sparring) this week. I couldn't be prouder of my students this past year. They have indeed pushed themselves well beyond expectations.

Ok, and we continue to grow at a Phenomenal rate, I stand Awed and star struck. I have met and befriended many new and wonderful people this year.

Expectations for the new year.. Hmm it will be tough to beat this last year. Looks like we are going to have a lot kids make to Nationals this year. Time to get a Bigger Van or a Bus.

We are slowly gaining the support of the local Media though it has been tough.  Most of our Media coverage has been outside our community. I have never been one to play by the rules of Money and Politics. Never had money so why start with Politics?

With this said and done, I would like to thank the Columbia tribune for their Great Article!
"Finding himself in the dojo"

lol ok time to quit picking on the Jefferson City Media. They do some great stories sometimes.

Well I guess this wraps it up. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!.

Thanks to Sensei Huffman for his dedication to his students and the community. In the last year he has touched the lives of many kids and adults. Stay true to your traditional beliefs. Look what it has done for you and Go Shin Kan Karate. Good luck in your next year and God Bless.
